DESCRIPTION: The orange aecial stage is easily noticed and is powdery in texture. The fungi is first noticed as orange spots on the upperside of the leaves and on closer inspection usually reveals quite significant growth on the lower sides. SPORES: Aeciospores globose to sub-globose, verrucose. Teliospores, brown, 1 to 4 septate with irregularly scattered warts. HABITAT: On leaves and stems of Salad Burnet. SEASON: Frequent. April to June.
